2013 Mercedes Benz GLK350 - High pitched noise from center grill on dash

I just purchased a used 2013 Mercedes Benz GLK350 4MATIC from a private party. There is a high-pitched noise coming from the center grill on the dash. The car was delivered and immediately I noticed the noise. It's prevalent on rough roads and on the slightest bump. It sounds like glass tapping on metal. I fiddled with the radio, climate control and all the settings to see if it might be related to some setting. It's not. The noise is purely based on vibration.

As you can see in the video, I am able to reproduce the exact noise by tapping on that area.

Anyone have any ideas what might be causing this and what the remedy is?

48k audio with 66dB cabin noise

Here is another video captured with a YI 4K action camera, recorded in 48k audio. The camera is inside a waterproof case, so the sound is very muffled. Still, at 55MPH with 66 decibels of cabin noise, it's clearly audible. The decibel meter is a BAFX3608.

Does anyone know what is causing this and how to silence it? I'm not sure what the rapid ticking sound is, that is coming from another source.

That sounds like the typical fan motor sound. Does it change with manual fan speed adjustment? If you turn off the heater system does the sound go away? If Yes, then the fan motor needs to be replaced. Easy job about $100 for the fan motor. Check this or the C300 forum for instructions. If it doesn't change with turning off the heating system, then possible looseness in screen mount. Check forum for how to install back up camera for instructions on how to disassemble dash.

The noise is there with and without the fan turn on and doesn't change when the fan speed is adjusted. If I turn off the heater, the sound doesn't go away.

Maybe something slipped into the dash at the windshield. The previous owner should know the truth and tell you now. My stereo installer made quick work of removing my dash several times for my stereo upgrades.
