2010 GLK 350
p0016 with p0128
Hi Guys!!
I have a 2010 GLK 350 4 matic with 104 000km (64 622 miles), and for the second time the check engine light came on with P0016 and P0128 together. The first time was one month ago, both came on when I was driving in steep hills (12% to 17% grade),when I came home I check codes with a general obd reader and clear them, I take my GLK everyday since to go work (pretty much plane land) and codes never came back.
Today I went again at the same place in the same hilly road and both codes came back. The engine temp is at 90 all the time and does not take longer to reach than is normal. I did not feel any change in engine noise or less power the only thing is that my mpg get better than before?
I know that the P0016 is related to a lot of case for pre 2008 mercedes model with the v6 3.5 were the timing chain is skipping teeth cause by the balancer but for years after that it is suppose to be correted?
Did you guys think it could only be the cam sensor or the magnet the problem so it only appear when I go in hilly road (lot of gear change and kick down) ?
and for the info the oil level is good and oil change have been made in april.
Thanks!!
