Looking at used GLK and having dealer installed aftermarket camera. Any thoughts?

 

You would save more money taking it to an audio shop with skilled workers that do car electronics day in day out.

 

That is exactly what the dealer would do. And they would add their mark-up on top.

Ask the dealer if they recommend a shop and who they use.

 

Just got a GLK and was wondering what brand of rear camera works best for a '14?

I just installed the Garmin one on my wifes new to her 2013 GLK350 4-matic. Install was pretty straight forward and the bonus was you not only get a back up camera but an awesome GPS unit also. $284 for everything on Amazon, Garmin Drive 50 with life time maps, BC30 backup camera, and a 50' extension cable for the camera. I did the whole install myself in about 2 hours. If you have any questions about the install let me know.

 

Thanks for sharing, I wasn't aware this Garmin one solution was available. I have the Becker navigation and been looking at the Navitek offering I've seen posted in a separate thread as well. I like the option of being able to add a front camera with that package.
