Metal door lock pins
I installed these metal door pins for about $40USD. They are made of aluminium and made in Japan. I opted for the plain version without the AMG logo.

Installing is very simple. Should take less than 5 minutes and you really only need a pair of pliers (preferably slip joint or linesmans type, a very small hammer, and a punch (or something soft to transfer the strike). Front door pins and long whereas rears are shorter.
1. roll down all windows and unlock all doors
2. use pliers for front window pins, turn counterclockwise on plastic pins
3. thread by hand the new metal long door pins, if you use one with a design or AMG logo be sure to line up.
4. use pliers and pull straight up on rear pins. Be sure to brace both hands as to not damage the door. (You can also undo the two door covers and use a Torx 30 to remove bolts, then use pry tool to remove complete door panel)
5. Install short rear pins by pushing them down into slot.
6. Now here is the delicate part. Manually push the door pin down to lock. You use the hammer and punch on the face of the new pin and LIGHTLY hit it down.
7. unlock doors to check fitment and pull them out by hand. If the rear pins come loose you need to use a little more force.
