Multifunctional display

hi,
does anybody know if it is possible to keep the multifunction display on a 2009 GLK setting after the ignition is off? Ie. The radio or fuel consumption etc.
Mine keeps resetting to the total milage after ignition is on again.
I’m convinced that this worked on my c class.
Could not find anything about this
thanks

Honestly dont know - i just bought the car, claimed to be new.
Would not a weak battery cause some other trouble?
The trip meter does not reset values, just jumps back to the default position (ie. total mileage)

I'll check mine when I head home from the office and report back, but IIRC, mine has never reset itself from the selected option on the display (speed).

I do notice the total mileage counter when I first unlock the car to get in, along with the GLK picture, but after I start it up, the display shows "speed" which is what I keep it at.
