Access panel to the fuel pump is on passenger side and fuel filter is on driver side, similar to the w204 https://www.pelicanparts.com/techarticles/Mercedes-W204/120-FUEL-Fuel_Fliter_Replacement/120-FUEL-Fuel_Fliter_Replacement.htm

The only place I've seen a decently 'stealth' sub enclosure has been on the left side of the trunk, replacing the small cubby area.
There is an old 'for sale' thread on the forum in which someone was selling their fiberglass box to fit there. He never seemed to sell it as I recall.

thank you!
Pete - yeah I saw that too, he won't ship. I stopped by a local stereo shop and asked for a quote, they said $1100 for the box to be made not including the equipment. I'm not paying that so I was thinking about going with self powered 8" subs that are pretty thin.
