My car was driving fine the night before, this morning, started the car and shifter (on the right of the steering wheel) stopped working. Tried going into reverse and drive, neither worked. No warning message or engine lights. The car is lightly driven and dealer serviced.

I started researching the issue, first possibility I found was brake light sensor, but my brake light works fine. Second possibility was jumping car battery, which I did not do. Third thing was the auxillary battery hidden in the truck, which I haven't tested yet and lastly, a broken ISM module which seems to cost a fortune to fix. Could there be anything else that could be causing this problem?
