Remote Battery
This is a strange one. Has anyone had the problem of the remote control FOB with a brand new battery installed get the in car Warning to Replace the Remote Battery. We have had this issue twice recently with a new battery installed lasting 2 days and then the warning pops up again. The first time upon FOB battery replacement the warning did not go away but came back the first time the FOB was used. We have remote start button so the key just stays in the purse or pocket. My key FOB has no issues and we do not get the warning even though my battery was changed a long while ago. Yes we know that you just hit the OK button on the steering wheel and it goes away but reappears every time you start the car. This is annoying and is there a reason that this is happening?

I decided to change my 2 year old remote battery thinking it’s was time to do so, my new battery actually tested .20 less voltage than a 2 year old battery. Put a meter on the battery, maybe something isn’t right.
