Idling RPM for 2015 GLK 250
I went for service for Pop/Thud sound from back after 5-10 sec. stopping. They services the Drive Shaft and fixed the problem. However, now I hear the diesel chatter in the cabin. It was very quite before the service and now I feel it is louder and noisy. Went back to the dealer and he said it is normal! Currently the RPM is at 800. I feel it must be lower then 800 and that is why it was quieter before. Any suggestion ? I can check? or direct the dealer to check? Any advise or comments appreciated.

Sounds like part of the exhaust system isn't connected, if they messed with it working on the driveshaft.
I would go back to the dealer and complain about the new noise that wasn't there previously.

Good Point! I will insist on having them check the Sound deadening material... is that under the car? where I can't visually inspect ? Some thing is left loose, missing or over tightened. I should download a PDF for the vehicle. Anyone have a link? or website for purchasing this document? Anyone can tell me the proper Idling RPM for GLK 2.1L Diesel? I wonder if the dealer upgraded the software to fix the Pop/Thud sound from the transmission/driveshaft and that has messed up the idling.
