Just replaced my work car with a 2010 GLK 350. Am I insane?

I’m an architectural photographer that loads up with equipment and drives roughly 3,000 miles per month. I often go into inner cities, work zones and mild off-roading on ranches out in the middle of nowhere. Side trips occasionally taken to go searching for ghost towns.
My 2006 Outlander (work car) died a hard death of premature timing belt failure. My backup/weekend car is a 2013 GLK 350, so I replaced the Mitsubishi with a 2010 GLK..... So it’s going to be a high mileage work vehicle! I must be mad.
This will be something of an experiment to see how one of these handles heavier use.
There is a great local Mercedes shop that I go to, so I will be keeping meticulous maintenance on it.
I’ll give occasional updates and photo essays if it’s okay.
Thanks guys!
Tim

Will do! So far a great vehicle for work, I get home way less fatigued!

I don’t think anyone uses that term around here these days. It’s considered “old timey!”

How many miles were on it when you bought it? How many so far? I have been thinking of trading my 2013 Wrangler with 37k mile on a 2013 GLK350 with 102k miles, I had a 2010 GLK350 and traded it in 2016 with 100k, the 102k miles worries me a but it has lots of MB service records.
