2014 CPO GLK250, should I extend the warranty?
My 2014 GLK250 will hit its 5-year CPO warranty mark in November of this year. I have about 66,000 miles on it and so far *knock on wood* I've had zero issues with the car. Should I buy the 2-year extension to the CPO warranty, knowing that I'll be flirting with 90,000 miles by the end of that period? It's my intention to keep the car for longer than two more years without question, short of some catastrophe. Just not sure what kinds of additional costs might come up during that mileage that would be worth warranty coverage.

My 2014 GLK250 CPO is fairly new to me so I can't share repair experiences. But, I did research genuine Mercedes CPO extended warranties on this forum. There are some
dealer based people who sell them at a minimal profit. I bought my 3 year extended within a month of buying the car, so I got the best price. After one month the price goes up.
I believe I paid about $2300 which could easily pay for itself with one or two repairs. I'd guess your price would be under $3000. The cost of Mercedes parts that you can't buy from aftermarket mfgs would be my motivation. I know my warranty is transferable if I sell the car to a private party, another plus.

MBWorld Fanatic!
The emission system alone (DPF, NOx sensors) are going to cost more if/when they go out.
That's not considering if the 4Matic transfer case goes boom first.
Either of those is big money at the stealer, so if peace of mind is your highest priority, the extended CPO warranty pays for itself immediately.
Good luck and all the best!
