GLK250 Turbo/Fuel pump malfunction?
I have a 2013 GLK250 Bluetec. It has about 140,000km (90K Miles). The car started acting up two days ago with really rough transmission shifts. On one occassion, the car wouldn't rev past 2,000rpm. Shortly after, the Check Engine Light came on. Restarting the car, the CEL stays on, the car will rev past 2,000rpm, but on the highway, will not shift into 7th gear...even in manual mode.
I took it to a local MB specialist and had the car scanned. There was a code for fuel pump issue and another code for turbocharger malfunction. The garage cleared it, but the CEL light came back on the next day. Now, the engine feels extremely sluggish. It didn't have enough power to safety merge on the highway. I did many searches on google to see if this was a common problem on the OM651 engine and nothing really came up. Does anyone have any ideas or experience with this issue? I'm taking the car to the garage tomorrow, but thought I would ask the forum.
Thanks!

X2 on the intercooler hose, particularly on the driver's side.
Your GLK250 is in forced "limp mode" to protect itself from possible (or further) damage.
What was the fuel pump code?
What type of fuel(s) do you normally run?
Do you run it close to empty every time before filling up?
When was the last fuel filter change?

Thanks! That was indeed the problem, a tear in the intercooler to throttle hose. The mechanic identified it pretty quickly. Apparently he's seen a few GLK250's with similar mileage having this issue. The part was $130 CDN and he charged just the diagnostic fee, no extra labour. Not bad. Still, don't expect these little things to break down this early in this diesel's life.

Life happens, glad you got it fixed for relatively cheap. Hoses and belts can go at anytime, unfortunately. Did you notice where the original IC hose was made, by any chance?
Mine is only at 72K, so I'll be keeping an eye out for those symptoms.
