2013 GLK 350 with 46,000 miles says A7 service required

What is the A7 service? I've read that the A designates how long the service takes (30 minutes, I think), and I don't know what the 7 means.

Is this something that needs to be done at the dealership, or can an independent shop do it?

Lost all electrical on dash while driving, but driving wasn't interrupted

On my 2013 GLK 350 with about 46,000 miles, last week, 2 miles into my normal 35-mile afternoon commute, I lost all electrical power on the dashboard. It had been raining most of the day and was raining hard at the time. All analog gauges went to zero and all dash lights and functions powered off just like it would if the car was turned off. Oddly, the vehicle continued to drive as if nothing happened. The dash lights flickered a few times, gauges resumed to normal then back to zero over the next minute or so. I did nothing and kept driving. After about 1-2 minutes, power finally restored and an error message appeared that said "Adaptive High Beam Assist Inoperative". I haven't tested Adaptive High Beam Assist, but everything seems fine. Since then, I've taken about 3 more trips and driven another 75 miles and everything seems normal. Any ideas what's going on?

The A-Service first visit is at approximately 10,000 miles or 1 year. The exact time is determined by the vehicle's Flexible Service System.

Then it is approximately every 20,000 miles or 2 years. This is for model year 2009 and newer. Please see your service advisor for all Mercedes-Benz A-Service specifics.

Services Performed:
  1. Synthetic Motor Oil Replacement
  2. Oil Filter Replacement
  3. All Fluid Level Checks & Corrections Are Dependent On Factory-Recommended Service Intervals For Your Vehicle's Year & Model
  4. Tire Inflation Check & Correction
  5. Brake Component Inspection
  6. Reset Maintenance Counter
Mercedes-Benz A-Service adheres to all required elements listed by model year and specific model as indicated on the corresponding service sheet for Mercedes-Benz Maintenance Systems in the USA.

We have not had any such electrical issues you mentioned with our 2013
