Exclamation 2010 GLK 350 P2422 Vent Valve Stuck closed

Hello everyone,

I have a 2010 Mercedes GLK-350 4-Matic that recently started to get a "P2422 Canister Vent Valve Stuck Closed". I have also had some issue getting the vehicle to start after adding any amount of fuel. I would have to hold the accelerator to the floor to get it to start after fueling. I replaced the charcoal canister shut off valve, aka vent valve even though the old one seamed to open and close just fine with my bi-directional control on my scanner. I also verified that there is no clogs in in the evap lines going from the canister to the tank and from the canister to the purge valve under the hood. I still keep getting after 20 minutes of driving the same code after clearing it. I checked the purge valve by disconnecting the evap line from it that goes back to the canister, commanded it off while the vehicle was running and it didn't suck and vacuum. Once I commanded it open it then started clocking and pulling vacuum from the engine. I was also able to blow air out of all line connections on the canister. My gut is telling me it is a bad purge valve since it's hard to start after fueling. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you so much in advance!

I'm having the same issue with my 2010 GLK350. What did the problem end up being and what was the ultimate fix?

The OP blazerguy1983 had a post count of 1 back in 2018. I don't think you'll hear from him.

Apparently he posted his answer on this forum/thread: https://www.scannerdanner.com/forum/...350-p2422.html

Hello Everyone. I wanted to post an update on this topic so to possibly be able to hep someone else that may run into this issue. I did end up fixing the GLK Evap issue with the P2422 vent calve stuck closed. In the end it ended up being a bad purge valve. I ordered and installed a Dorman one and started getting a new code of Large Leak detected. So I got a OE Mercedes purge valve and no more codes. All of the IM readiness tests completed and passed now too. Another proven point that codes aren't always accurate, but can be a chain reaction caused from another underlying issue.I checked for evap leaks and none found. My advice is to always use OE parts when working on high end vehicles. This is the second time in the words of Eric O. I got slid from an aftermarket part specifically Dorman. Have a nice day and I hope everyone has had a Happy New Year,

This is the part number for the purge valve. Anyone find the part numbers for the hoses that connect to it?
