Warranty Expiring Last Min Fixes???
Hello all, my factory warranty on my GLK 350 is expiring in a few months. I want to get everything I can out of the warranty before that happens. You all know how expensive these things can get once out of warranty (I will have a separate extended warranty kick in for a couple more years but it does not cover as much).
Any suggestions for services or things I can have checked and fixed (if needed) before the warranty runs out?

Warranty is really for broken stuff so if it works, it works.
Go to a dealer and ask them to go over the car (maybe pay for an hour of their time)...they will be happy to do the work and bill to MB.
Check transfer case for leaks.
It would be great if you can get new engine mounts under warranty but they are probably fine (no excessive vibrations).
The soft air runners to the air filter get very brittle and break, they are 60 bucks each.
Inspect the brakes for warped rotors and any stuck pistons in the calipers.

Have you looked into buying a warranty extension from Mercedes. Search ELW warranties on this site and you will see several names from other dealers who can sell you one. One guy is jeff, but don't have the link. Get his price and then ask the dealer what they will charge. Go with the best price.

I would not bother with extended warranties for GLK, unless prices came down. When I looked, you could cover quite a few big repairs before breaking even on the warranty.
It's a simple car and not that many things go wrong. If things break, they seem to happened in the first 40-50k miles.
