Help! High needle on temp guage?

I've found a 2013 GLK 350 4matic with 10k miles, it was a doctor's wife's car and maintained well however, the needle on the temperature gauge reads just over thr half way point.

MB mechanics say this is common on these vehicles, can anyone verify that? I've never seen a temp needle over the half way point on a vehicle.

Picture is a little fuzzy, but it's the left gauge cluster, right needle.

none
My temp gauge reads just around 90 if I remember right. I would say that if it isn't creeping into the red or above 100 you should probably be OK. Mine is older though so I don't have the same gauge cluster as you do.

Welcome. Now relax, your engine temp is normal. The needle appears to be right in the middle of the normal operating range when everything is warmed up.

If you were having overheating issues, you'd know it right away. The instrument display would tell you in no uncertain terms. No warning lights or messages = motor on.

And a 2013 with only 10K miles? You likely found a gem, congrats.

2015 GLK350
When at normal operating temperature mine moves between 90 and 92 degrees Celsius. It had me a bit concerned because my previous diesel glk250 would stay dead on 90 degrees. Your temperature is completely normal.
