2014 GLK250 adblue warning system
2014 GLK250 adblue warning system
Over the course of my experience with my 2014 GLK250 (USA), I have experienced problems with the emission systems particularly in the problem with Bad diesel.
With all the bells and whistles, the periodic codes " check engine", I have found that before I visit the dealer I run my scan tool and search the code. I have been lucky by adding a Diesel treatment
Howes and other addictives for Soot Removal, I have been successful in reducing periodic codes problem. Using my scan tool after treatment I remove the code. The difficulty that I caused was too many short hops and not allowing e
the engine to warm up sufficiently. A costly which affected the SOOT SENSOR. The MB GLK 250 adblu does not have a regen cycle to burn off the soot and this problem can create problems with consumption of DEF.
I make it a habit to weekly fill the DEF to full capacity and I avoid Check additive warnings.
My best advice to Beancounter4751 in Canada is to review the conditions that GLK250 is operating at being colder weather. I believe the location of the DEF fill is the same although there are differences according to the service for
Canada GLK250 with space for a tire inflator and a sealant for flats.
I did not receive "GOODWILL ASSISTANCE" from my dealer and basically, change my own oil, filters oil and air, cabin filters myself because I bought the tools and provide my own labor. With the help of YOUTube lesson can be had
by following instructions. I have avoided panic attacks because of some simple answers.
In my State of Pennsylvania, Diesel vehicles with DEF are exempted from Emissions Sticker and the use of a non-dealer does not void warranty. Since my car is already out of warranty, I repair things myself now. I pump-out the
oil through the dipstick opening and the oil filter change is easy by installing the o-ring seals. I use Mobil ONE synthetic always with proper viscosity. I recommend the use of a Mercedes Benz filter they are the best. I purchase
Factory complainant DEF and refill the Def Containers from Large Jugs.
