water level dropping
started needing about a pint every couple of weeks. have not seen any sign of leakage where parked. where to start looking? glk 350 2014 32000 mi. no codes. just the low level warning.

Check the motor oil to make sure it doesn’t look like chocolate milk indicating a blown head gasket . I don’t know if it could leak into the transmission. There are dye and black light test kits to find the leak.

Replace the cap if you've checked everything else.. i.e. oil, water pump weep hole, etc.etc.. they are $20 at dealer parts dept.
Saw a lot of them on C and GLK-class cars fail pressure tests that have been in multiple times for mysterious coolant leaks.
When the system won't hold pressure the coolant boils off.

Checking the cap is a good idea, hopefully it's a cheap fix.
Hopefully it's not the oil cooler, which uses coolant circulating through it to cool the oil. Gaskets can leak and the oil mixes with coolant.

Start looking at the dealers shop. This car is under warranty. It could be anything from a hose, water pump seal blown head gasket or cracked block or many other things. Get it on record and let an expert find the problem and fix it until it is fixed. Worst case water gets into the cylinders and you break a rod or destroy a piston.
