Considering the purchase of a 2014 or 15 GLK250. One of the cars being considered is without option 608 AUTOMATIC HIGH BEAM SWITCH (IHC) & 615 BI-XENON HEADLICHT W.ACTVIE. Seeking information on the difficulty to add this option, any step by step procedures, whether coding would be required and any part numbers needed for this outfitting. Thanks in advance. Dan C

Most GLKs will either have the halogen reflector lights (standard) or the adaptive bi-xenon with auto high-beams projector setup. It's an expensive upgrade to try and DIY, including new housings, wiring, programming and bulbs/ballasts/leveling motors.

In short, wait and find the right one with the lighting package. It's worth it.

I upgraded The standard fixture to HID with an aftermarket kit for about 300$ And it works great, I think you will spend maybe 3000$ The way you want to do it.
