Testing motor after ESL replacement.
I’ve watched through several video tutorials, and read the few on here about testing the new ESL motor before re-installing the steering column, but have a question.
All of the tutorials advise to disconnect battery *before* disconnecting the airbag, to avoid an SRS code.
When testing the new motor, simply by plugging it in, and turning the key, do I need to attach all of the additional harnesses to attach the air bag?
Do I avoid the srs issue by only turning the key to “on”, and not trying to start the car?
or does the stored code reset when I disconnect the battery a second time to finish the final assembly?
