Raising the car on jack stands
Any advice on jacking the GLk to rest on jack stands? Can’t seem to find the jackpoint on the car.
i was fortunate to be able to change the oil because the car was high enough off the ground. But if I ever want to diy brakes, i will need to get this thing on a jack stand.

The manual's recommendation is limited to spare tire changes which means one side at a time. The factory jack functions as a lift and stand at the same time which is not what I am trying to do.
What I am trying to do is to jack the entire front end via a central support location so I can rest the car on jack stands on each side.

For the central jacking point in front, try this. Starting at the front bumper and looking under the car about 18 inches rearward, you should see a solid rubber block, black in color. It stands just "proud" of the surrounding belly pans. The block is about 1.5 inches wide and about 3 inches long. It runs longitudinally. (at least it does on my 2014 model)
I must clearly state that I've never used it as a jacking point. But if you google "GLK center jacking point" you'll see where others have used it as such.

The pelicanparts.com website, listed under W204 articles, has an excellent description of the jacking points. Side and Center. The center front "block" described above and the Diff are the central points, the side spots are self explanatory.
