Since the button on the dash is a momentary contact to enable "sport mode, you might be able to use a time delay relay that mimics pushing the switch for a couple of seconds when you start the car. I looked at doing this to the ECO switch on my 2013, but have gotten used to hitting the switch when I start it. It really shpouldn't be too hard. An outfit in Chigaco called Mid-City Engineering has a mod for the ECO switch, they might have a solution if you want to give them a call at 312) 421-1114. 2025 GLC 300
As of a couple of months ago, the ECO feature doesn't turn off then engine temporarily while I'm stopped, even if I try to activate it. I like that I don't have to push the button each time I turn on the vehicle ('15 GLK 350) but I wonder if there are any other issues that would arise as a result of this "malfunction."
