On my TWO GLKs I had no issues with my rotor life. I live in the mountains and constantly go down steep hills.
I do the pads in all my vehicles using oem ones. It's the rotors that are warped hence the shaking. None of my other vehicles have shaking because I replace the pads early on not when it's already scratching the disc. Only the GLK lasted at 46,000 miles. 2003 pilot at 230k miles still on original rotors, 2015 Escalade platinum at 224,000 miles- original rotors, 2009?escalade hybrid, front pads lasted 80k miles, rear pads at 130k miles on oem stock rotors.

Not an expert, but one thing that popped up regarding the GLK, they eat brakes.

A previous post makes sense to me, max stopping power for the materials MB selected.

The GLK is no lightweight and I can attest, mine will STOP if necessary.

Went through 3 Fusions, company cars, turned at 100k and never replaced rotors or pads.

My driving habits are similar.

I just had rear pads put on mine, $89 one hour labor, $84 for parts, rotors still good.

Replacing them to avoid the nasty @$$ brake dust and weekly wash may be of value...

Rotors are warped there is not point turning them and they are cheap. What are you doing replacing rotors are dealer. 45min DIY job (or by gas station mechanic) with rotors from FCP with lifetime replacement. Just replace every 2-3 oil changes.
I don't get why benz rotors do this. I had last two front sets (MB and Zimms) last 14-16k miles each. I am going to try different pads next time.
