Best means to listen to text messages via bluetooth car
I used to have an app on my Samsung Galaxy phone called A2D2 which would make a connection between my phone and car stereo and when a new text message would arrive on my phone a little beep would be heard, music or radio would pause and the text message would read aloud through the car speakers. Well I got a new Samsung S20+ and for some reason that app does not seem to want to work anymore. What other means have any of you managed to do that allowed incoming (only) test messages to your phone to be read aloud through your GLK350? Obviously the phone connects to the car for incoming and outgoing calls but does allow for reading text messages.

You might have to contact the app developer and see if the app has been updated for the new phone. Also, you might have to have bluetooth turned on all the time for this to work. If you can't get the app to work on the new phone, there are half a dozen apps for Android that say they will read your texts and emails to you. Don't know if they will connect automatically. I did a search of SMS to voice apps for android and came up with 6 or 7. I didn't go any further than that, but you could do the same search and see if one of them works for you.

You can make your car WiFi connected, but have to pay Mercedes for it. It is on their website under build a new car section. You can not tether your phone to the car like you can with a laptop and your cell phone.
