I was dealing with turbocharger hose leaking yesterday and saw jell-o like leaking under my 2013 glk 250, anyone know what's it? would love to know something before go to dealer, thanks
That's the weirdest thing I've seen in awhile. Not sure what could be yellow. Given it's jello-like consistency, I'm tempted to say maybe it's a bad motor mount? They usually leak when they go bad.
Aha! That might be it. I've yet to have the steering bolt recall performed myself, didn't think about that. So it's not leaking then, it's just a waxy protective coating.
In other words, nothing to worry about if you've had that recall work done.
thank you all for the reply, problem is that I always do oil change myself, and this happened after I last changed engine oil and I did not visit dealer during that time, anyway I'm scheduled on airbag recall soon and will ask dealer what is it and report back
I checked my records I did went to dealer for a bolt recall and that must be the reason, thank you for the explaination.
If it helps, ours had the steering bolt recall and now looks similar. The yellow goo is a protective wax.
Next is the airbag recall, getting that done tomorrow. Just put on new rear brakes the other day; Moose is enjoying all the TLC he's been getting lately.
