So I need some help. I was able to salvage a GLK 350 tow hitch and exterior wiring set from a Front End Collision of a wreaked GLK350. Dam poor sight. I was also able to get the tow control module from the wreck. It was already partially salvaged so things had been moved or taken out. I can't seem to figure out exactly where the tow control module is supposed to sit and or where the plug to connect it to the GLK's lighting system actually is. I was under the assumption that it was pre-wired but I'm not sure now. Outside of tapping wires and ordering more parts, I was hoping I could glean some insight on the next steps?
I have tow package but I am not near my car for a while. You can probably run the wires and splice into the tail light wiring. It's pretty accessible. Trailer wiring is pretty basic. You will still need remote brake controller as many german cars are not pre-wired for it even with tow package.
There are 2 wire harnesses, 1 goes from the trailer hitch plug to the control module, the other one goes from the module to the rear SAM. Do a search for trailer hitch and you will find a detailed MB trailer hitch instal. You will find on how to mount the trailer hitch control module as well.

There is a lot to do here. I did this and I actually found some instructions on this forum where someone did all the work. I can't find the thread but i have the instructions. Let me know if you want them and i can send them to you through email or something. Its a word document. Also here are all the parts you need.
