Supplemental rear Air Springs on a GLK?
However, the Expedition had auto-leveling air springs on all fours, so it was level regardless of tongue weight or anything heavy I threw into the back. Not so with the GLK250. It squats a bit in the rear. It's not bad and handling is great, but I'd rather have it up to where it is the same height as when I'm not towing.
I'd love to hear if anyone has installed either the Air Lift brand or another brand (apparently you can install the Air Lift brand without removing your coil springs...
Auto leveling is nice (have it on my other car), but for towing, I'm just going to measure the distance from the ground to the bottom of the hitch with nothing on it, then put the trailer on it, measure the same distance, and then put air into the springs until it is back to no load level. I'll note the PSI, and then I can just pump up to that PSI every time I hitch up the boat. Easy Peasy..
Thanks,
Gordon
