P0185 - possible cause
I just wanted to share an experience I just got. Trying to fix my emergency brake problem, I removed the rear seat and I was curious to see if I removed the 2 bolts and big washers in the middle maybe I can access the 'Y' junction for the emergency brake lines... I unscrewed the module on top and put it aside then I removed the bolts but nothing really seam to move there, maybe it is to remove something under the car so I screwed everything back.
Later that next day I got that P0185 code. Looking on the web I found it is related to the fuel temperature sensor 'B'. I then also found that the sensor on Mercedes GLK is located in the fuel tank. Then I remembered the job I did the day before. I bet I simply disconnected the sensor from the module when I tossed it.
I'll take a look tomorrow but I am sure it is related.
I still did not find how the access the emergency brakes 'Y' (I want to put a lot of nut release there). Otherwise I am unable to remove my rear discs to replace them.
I ended up using a 4lb short sledgehammer and pounded the #*$&% out of the discs, from the inner side out. Yes, it's a lot of banging and your neighbors may hate you. Luckily I have a garage and it was closed, and after about 30-45 minutes of banging on it, the first one came off. The second side took half the time because I hammered it without regard for its feelings.
YMMV
