Chargins & voltage problem
couple days ago I had a problem with my MB (x204, 2010, 3.0 v6 petrol engine 272.948) - after listening a radio by 30 min without starting an engine - it was powerless and could not start. No troublecodes or dashboard's warning before.
I gone to workshop and they said that an alternator should be repaired (which they did - new Bosch regulator, new bearings, new main coil etc.) and also a battery should be changed due to less than nominal capacity (10 years old). Moreover, they said that there was the one troublecode - 0365, and they delete it - probably it showed because of the weak battery.
After that, by couple days, everything was perfect but today suddenly the red dashboard warning appeared (red battery symbol). When I turned off the car and turned it on again - it dissapeared and i drove through ca. 70 km without a problem - after that it showed again. So I switched off the car, then on - it dissapeared again.
I checked troublecodes by SD - the same 0365 was there - "the output for the actuation of the alternator has a malfunction".
The workshop claims that the alternator is 100% good - they checked it by a special tool.
ECU has been checked today - raported as not damaged.
I also checked the voltage when the engine is running - when it is running on neutral it shows ca. 12,6 v of loading. When I turn on a blower to the maximum speed - it shows ca. 14.4 v.
Now I have started to wonder if this voltage could be a normal situation and the reason of "intelligent charging system" connected with ECU which when the battery is full descends the charging to 12.6 and when the circuit is loaded by lights, blower etc. it increases voltage to 14 and more?
I made the short video - are your cars behave the same when starting and when the battery is fully loaded?
