Frontside camera only not working in reverse direction
Hi,
I have a black frontside camera on my screen and I have to, probably change it. Since a week or two my front camera is black and in the composite video when in reverse, or later when you switch forward - there is NOT video from the front camera.
Two months ago, I had a similar effect, but for the time I was in motion, then I stopped the engine off, then on and all was OK. Now it persists and stay black. I've tried unplugging and plugging the camera cable ender the hood (on the back of the MB logo on the front), but nothing.
Do you think the camera went dead ? Does it happen to a 6-years car, mine is 2015 GLK350 ?
And last - if I buy a new one - should the new camera be "re-programmed" by a dealership ($$$ !!!), or it is simply "plug&go" repair ?
Thank you, I have to find also how to unplug the camera from the plastic in the front grill.
I did some research on this topic on the internet and I found at least three (3) references to this camera : 000905-15-03, 000905-11-03 and even 000905-08-06 ... It would be probably the first one, but why do they differ ?
So, I am wondering why and is there any difference between those cameras, or they refer to different numbers according to the car model ? My car is a MB GLK350 2015 4Motion.
