How long for Oil Filter to drain

2013 glk gasoline. How long should it take for the oil filter to drain. After stopping the motor and starting an oil change procedure, in 10- 15 minutes the filter has completely drained out. I would think it should hold oil longer, as it then has the process of refilling. I use a Mann filter.
A reason of my concern, curiosity, is the motor is noisier for maybe the first 5 minutes, it always has been. Purchased used, It now has 75000 miles, I’ve done oil changes every 5000, city driving.

Yikes:
Don't have an answer for that but it will depend on filter size, installation angle, oil temperature, internal construction of the particular brand etc. Many Ferraris (and some other brands) had/have the engine filter on top of the engine pointing downward. Inside the QUALITY versions (brands) of these filters is a one-way valve/flap that helps retain oil in the filter for the next start-up.

On my cars, where it's easily possible, I always disconnect the ignition after an oil change and the crank it over with just the starter motor until the oil light goes out. This helps fill the new oil filter before the engine ever fires. I also pre-fill the new oil filter with new oil as full as possible but to where it does not spill out when mounting (dependent upon installation angle of the filter, of course).

Five minutes for it to stay noisier after an oil change seems kind of long.

The GLK has a funky filter compared to the rest of my cars which use the traditional "tin can" oil filter.
