I've found a US 2012 GLK 350 that has AMG badging on right rear of lift gate......but it doesn't have the usual AMG sport pack components like 5 spoke 20 inch wheels or chrome roof rails or running boards.
Was there ever a US GLK 350 or 350 4matic model year that had the rear lift gate AMG badging?
I understand that the Sport Pack option included: Sport Bodystyling, AMG Styling Package Code, Aluminum Roof Rails, 20" AMG 5-Twin-Spoke Alloy Wheels....but all the 350's I've seen with the AMG sport package only have 4matic on rear lift gate. ??

Legit AMG ??

Here's a 2015 I found with the same badging but no other AMG components. The only thing I see they have in common is they seem to both be just rear wheel drive vehicles........not 4matic ??

[QUOTE=Mmr1;8450841]These are AMG ,

Thanks for that info Mmr1 - So there are no US GLK 350's with AMG badging, anywhere on the car, correct? Well besides the 350's Sport Packs came with 20 inch Dual 5 spoke wheels that have AMG stamped into them

I did read somewhere that outside of the US, models that came with the Sport Pack had AMG badging on rear lift.

Mercedes never made an AMG GLK. they had an appearance package but that's it. I have seen dealers put the badge on when the car gets said package but otherwise it is just silly people. search amg posers for more than you want to read on the subject.

This is true; there was never an AMG GLK produced for the States (or at all, for that matter, that I'm aware of).

Now, certain tuning companies like Lorinser, Brabus and a couple others may have modified GLKs as one-off special editions. There are some pics online if you're curious, but the AMG moniker is only an appearance trim for our GLKs. Our Bluetec has it: 19" 5-spoke AMG wheels, the different front and rear bumpers as in the pics above, the aluminum interior trim instead of wood or piano black, and I added rubber-studded metal pedals which were a Euro OEM option.

But it's not "AMG model," and no badges on the body either which are tacky unless it's the real thing, IMO.

Speaking of GLK options.........anybody know what the MB Running Boards option was under? it wasn't part of the Sport or Appearance or Premium 1 option packs ...or was it a stand alone option for the GLK's??

Both the US and Canada GLK brochures list aluminum running boards as a stand alone option. Oddly, the Canadians got standard folding outside mirrors which were not even an option in the US. I have the "Sport Package" on my GLK and as mentioned above, it consists of wheels and front and rear treatments only - no AMG sticker. (See below)

BTW, I saw a red GLK with the AMG sticker in Las Vegas about five years ago and I've been looking for info ever since then. I think this discussion answers the question.

Sport Package (Not available with Appearance Package)
•19" AMG® 5-spoke wheels (GLK250 BlueTEC) or 20" AMG twin 5-spoke wheels (GLK350) • AMG lower body styling
• Aluminum roof rails
