Curiosity - any ideas?
At first thought a kid or wife was having fun but it was too symmetric. Car had not been driven for a day so shouldn’t be from heat. This is a 250 and my neighbour has a 350 and I happened to see his about 5 min later and it had the same effect.

Likely the snow was falling as the temperature dropped below the freezing point. There was enough residual warmth to partially melt the snow.
Have a look at the hood liner and the engine and you'll see how the pattern was formed.
