DIY bodywork

Hey everyone!

I am wondering if anyone would happen to know what material the front bumper cover is made of? I have some deep scratches I want to clean up and repair. I see quite a few resources say to find out what it is made of and get the appropriate glaze putty that will bond the best. Also, who makes the most accurate match to 040 black?
And if anyone knows the best color match for the silver/gray rim color match
Thank you!

Pretty sure the bumper covers (front & rear) are automotive plastic. I would try some rubbing compound or scratch remover product like 3M or Meguiar's.

Perhaps post a visual aid so we can see how bad it is.

Front bumper fascia should be TPO thermo plastic olefin or TEO thermoplastic elastomer olefin. Fillers tend not to adhere well. The rear is extruded polypropylene. I gave up and repeatedly painted and wet sanded until the scratches were filled. It looked perfect but took a long time. I was never able to find the matching silver/gray rim color and wound up sending all 4 wheels to a local reconditioner. Try one of Scratch Wizard’s products for the best color matches. They have separate products for bumpers vs body panels. I’m sure there are others, but they sell inexpensive small quantities.
