Noticed that the sunshade wont close all the way and is about 1/2 inch to close.
Sun roof operates normally but ever since the sunshade wont close all the way the sunroof started rattling unless I push on the glass.
Im pretty sure the ratting is from the sunshade being 1/2 off from close.

Is there anyway to manually close the sunshade? Any ideas how to fix this?

Thanks!

Its not dirty. Even the rear shade has a 1/2 inch gap.

Anyone know how to manually close it?

I dont plan on using it just want to get rid of the rattling noise.

No response within a year? I'll just add that my 2014 GLK also has this issue, but it doesn't rattle at all. That front gap seems like a flaw in MB's aura of precision, but it's just out of my field of attention so I can forget about it.

I cannot believe MB designed a gap. Unless it’s to control some climate or condensation issues, but that makes no sense since the cover is a screen with holes.
I too have a small gap where the shade doesn’t close completely into the headliner. In fact, a sticker label can be seen looking up from the driver seat. Is there a way to completely reset the sunshade/sunroof system to close the gap?
