Exclamation CD changer "drive unavailable"

This message showed up and there is a beep every minute that I can't turn off. The drive doesn't detect CDs and I can't eject the ones that are in there.

Has anyone experienced this?

XXX Unavailable usually means that XXX failed to initialize on the CANBUS or did not respond to a request. Check fuse 11 under hood. If it’s good, CD player may have completely failed. A scanner may show a DTC, but a hand held code reader probably will not. It could be anything: power supply, drive motor, drive belt, infrared LED. Not sure about the beep.

I wanted to post an update for future readers

I resolved this issue today by removing the head unit from the vehicle and disassembling the cd changer to remove the cds that were inside. I put it back together and the error message and beeping is gone. I havent attempted to put in a cd and I won’t attempt to use it again.

There’s a video on YouTube on how to remove the head unit. Disassembling the cd changer is intricate but doable

Haven't had the problem but thanks for the update/follow-up.
