Does anyone have a p/n for the front sway bar bushings?

A brake-induced "thump" in the steering wheel is often from worn large bushings on the lower control arms. You could be feeling that control arm (and therefore the front suspension) moving under braking forces.

Swaybar-induced problems aren't usually noticeable if both front wheels are going the same direction, since that puts no stress on the swaybar or the bushings or links. It's when the road surface forces them in opposite directions that there's stress on all those parts (like running over a two-part speed bump with one wheel and going through the gap with the other).

Maybe I'm misunderstanding you, but I wouldn't expect a sway bar to make noise when you brake. It only comes into play when the suspension on one side is more compressed than the other.

The noise is felt the most on a bumpy road, which has bumps, right under your feet, as the temperature outside rises the noise becomes less, in the cold it gets worse, front rear lower arms were replaced, front ones look good, I looked under the car nothing unusual, everything looks good, I tried to move them Rod all the parts and all the arms everything is solid and stable, except the sway bar, which even after replacing the bushings has some freedom, it moves a little and it shouldn't be, I think the best thing is to disconnect it and make a small turn carefully and check if the noise remains, maybe I'm confused, Maybe it's a combination of two things, anything could be .

Annoying clunck

I have the same issue in my glk 2014 , i replace the upper and the lower arms, sway bar bushing replaced whith febest kit , still have clunck noise from the front end , specially when the temperature outside is under 25°c , that in hot weather it is less noticeable, and also that the car heats up it becomes less noticeable, the noise appears on both sides, on bumpy roads and in deceleration lanes at low speed, does anyone have an idea what else it could be, it drives me crazy, I replaced almost everything

That (tie rod ends) is a likely suspect, as well as a host of other bits in the front suspension (strut mounts, springs, ball joints, and other bushings). Other suspects would be anything that's not properly tightened down (strut mounts, subframe, steering rack, maybe even exhaust (especially where the two sides tie together, if the rubber isolator between the two isn't in good shape or is missing, damaged or misaligned).

Mine are shot, I have new ones to install (Lemforder OEM). They make no noise at a stop but clunk much like a worn ball joint/control arm while driving. I've done the control arms, like you have. It made a huge difference but I found a tiny bit of play in the tie rod ends.
When I'm all done, I'll get an alignment. 160,000 kilometers.

I've had a clunk from my right front side for a while now. Got the car over a pit and went under to take a look. When I grab the sway bar link on the front right side where the noise is coming from, I'm able to rattle it and replicate the exact noise. Ordered a replacement sway bar link from RockAuto and waiting for it to arrive. This is on a 2010 GLK350 with 105,000KM. Easiest way for me to find the problem was to get underneath and figure out where the noise was coming from.

Update from my previous post: Received my sway bar link from RockAuto and had it installed. No more clunking noise from the front, problem solved. Best of luck to all of you looking to fix a similar issue in your GLKs.
