It’s a good idea , at reduced voltage sulfation will ruin any battery fairly quickly. Somewhere around 12.3v is as low as you should go.

Maybe all your vehicles are in need of at least monitoring voltage and using a charger maintainer. CTEK had the Battery Monitor that monitors charge and it has an app you can check full status. I don’t know if it’s made anymore.

im sure other companies make something similar. I also use a CTEK charger. Most every top brand even Rolls Royce , Mb etc just put their name on a CTEK and charge xx more.

I like that it has a plug you hardwire in so hooking it up is quicker. They sell many Models of chargers that maintain and restore from Sulfation.

Sulfation is something you need to read up on. That is what you need to avoid. Voltage needs to be kept high or a battery self destructs quickly . A maintained AGM can last 7-8 + years. A non maintained can go bad in 1-2. A boat could go dead over a winter. A maintainer will save you a lot of money and headaches. Get a decent load tester also , so you know what you really have .

There are simple maintainers, which also charge. Or for a bit more a full featured CTEK or other brand. Like Noco. I think I have 6 chargers I’ve collected over many years.

I just looked at the photo, two of those cars have battery maintainers on them , one is a CTEK, the Vette has what looks like a CTEK on the couch. So why ask

I used an older model weather resistant battery tender and connected the negative and positive terminals to the battery. hopefully that should work. I have it installed in my garage queen 2013 range rover sport L320 HSELux and it worked. Unlike the other two vehicles, it has built in ports for battery tenders that's why the question was asked if it works with MB vehicles too?

I'm partial to the NOCO Genius models. I think mine is a NOCO 3. It's great for all battery types, including AGM.

Been using it for at least 3 years, no complaints.

Mb has a visible hook up points . A ground post and a positive clamp point under the sliding red plastic tab that works for clamps . It’s easy to hook up.

Standard Deltran trickle chargers/battery tenders you get at Costco have done just fine with our GLK and our other MBs too. Seems like it helped prolong the life of our CLS battery - 9.5 years old and still on the original factory battery

I bought a solar charger I want to have hardwired. With todays massive drains (cellular alarms, and systems) , im surprised this isn’t built in high end cars. Sulfation is a big issue but thankfully much less due to the great benefits of AGM . Actually right now I am putting a CTEK charger on my Glk, since I don’t drive it enough. A Solar panel won’t do a lot since it’s garaged .
