Chrome delete for window trims?

I'm thinking about it but I don't know how to delete the chrome. I'll probably just use some black electrical tape to cover it up. It won't really be deleted but the only people that will know are those that have read this and maybe electricians.

Personally, I can't speak to any process, as I've not had the desire to do this.

I've sprayed chrome (or at least brushed silver) trim before, and it's held up pretty well, even in the Arizona sun. You might have to touch it up once every few years, and would have to rough it up with sandpaper before painting (kind of a burning your boat on the shore thing).
