If you are looking for an easy Carplay/Android Auto screen without tearing the dash apart, this one is on sale.
Been using it since June with good results, also easy to move to other vehicles if you need to.

How are you connecting it to the car. Are you using the aux cable? Which Internet does it use for the maps? Phone hotspot? Just wondering as I'm also looking into this. It looks pretty good.

It's only connected to the car for power, mine is a 2010 without the aux cable, it can be powered by the 12v outlet in the glove box or the lighter outlet in the center console.
It connects to my phone via Bluetooth and runs off of Android Auto mirrored from my phone to run maps. I generally use Waze but it also runs Google Maps.
It will also runs Apple Car Play with an iPhone, which we use if it's in my wife's car.

I have a 2011 and the aux connection is in the glove box. On the right hand side. Mine looks like something you turn or something but it's there. Take a look maybe you have it

I did an extensive search for it after I bought it, I don't have it.
In the long run I didn't really need it, mine had Sirius radio built in and with the PCMCIA card slot and the CD/DVD changer I had all the music I wanted.
Just for fun I added an mp3 file to the startup sequence.
