GLK350 won’t shift out of Park
Good day,
My 2013 (76000kms) wouldn’t shift out of park today. It’s parked indoors, no CEL, no other issues, runs fine. I tried several times, turned it off and back on then let it idle for a bit and was able to shift into reverse and it drove just fine. Any ideas why it would do this?

Yes transmission fluid. Order everything yourself from FCP euro so you know you have the right product , of quality. It’s an expensive job.

Before you change the transmission fluid, please do a few electronic tests first. First, please scan the computers. I use Carly which is inexpensive and has many Mercedes codes. You may learn the auxiliary battery needs to be replaced or you may find the shift cluster needs to be replaced or you may find the servo mechanism that shifts the transmission needs to be replaced. I had this issue and was fortunate to only replace the auxiliary battery (located to the right of the spare tire) and the shift cluster. While the shift cluster is expensive it is far less than the servo mechanism.
