Mystery part

I was poking around under the hood trying to locate a suspension noise on the left front of my GLK250 and I found this bracket. It looks like there was a screw or bolt holding it in somewhere, and like it was holding two steel lines, but I can't for the life of me figure out where it goes. One theory is it was left over from before the AEM. Anyone know for sure?

TIA!

This is gonna be a looooooong-shot, and ya'll might think I might have lost it, but what do you think about this (see photo).

That screenshot is from this website ... they are replacing sway bar bushes (not an MB) - click on the link, then scroll down to you see the two photo sequences.
They sure look very much like what you show, but like I wrote, it's a longshot

I'd start by following some brake lines that run parallel, and see if there's an obvious threaded hole near an unsupported section of the lines.

I'll go with the brake lines scenario. I've seen very similar brackets on other vehicles.

Yeah, lots of similarities. Maybe that will give me some more ideas as to how they fit with what I have. They won't fit on the sway bar, though.

I was thinking the same thing. Nothing jumped out at me and I ran out of time. I'll have to try again, when we get another warm spell.
