Looking for some advice on my 2015 GLK 350 4Matic transmission, 60k miles.
It performed well over the winter except for the occasional slight harsh shift into 3rd & 5th gear. The rough shifting only seems to happen at low rpms & low throttle. All gears seem to shift smoothly under more aggressive acceleration.
Anyone experience this? What was the fix?
She is due for the transmission service but I don't want to spend $$$ on the drain & fill if these symptoms point to something more sinister.
It is now in storage for the summer so I have 6+ months to put together a game plan. Any and all suggestions are appreciated!

With any automatic transmission, the best thing you can do to keep the car on the road is to do transmission fluid (and filter) service. 60,000 miles is awfully low for the fluid to be well and truly worn out (and yes, it does wear out) but it's also no longer "new" either.

If it was my car, I'd do the drain-and-fill with the best fluid I could get, and I suspect that will take care of the harsh shifts, particularly if you also reset the adaptations (which is what is supposed to happen when you change fluid, as it tells the transmission to reset the baseline instead of assuming it's compensating for worn out fluid).
