P208464 and P208064 codes

2013 GLK250 with 100K miles.

I am getting the two codes P208464 and P208064 every 200-300 miles - they have come up twice and before that just the P208464 came up.

Scan tool clears it with no new stored codes coming up until it sets again in 200-300 miles.

I cannot find a correlation on what sets them. I do have some engine vibration due to motor mounts so replacing them - think that could possibly set the code? As in the engine moves a bit and a wire gets pinched maybe. Grasping.

Anyone have any thoughts? I don't want to just replace the EGT sensors unless it will correct the issue.

Any CELs and repairs that relate to the exhaust system and its related accessories (like DPF temp sensors) is covered by the AEM warranty, if your car has had the approved emissions recall performed.

Next time, do not clear the codes, leave the CEL on and call your MB dealer to schedule a drop off time/date. They should fix it free of charge, whether that means new sensor(s) or software updates.

The likely reason the CEL and codes come back regularly after clearing is that the ECU records every mile driven and the desired interval for running both passive and active regeneration; by clearing the codes you don't solve the problem. After a certain number of missed/failed regens, you will see other codes that cannot be cleared and will put you in "limp home" mode. Trust me, get it scheduled for drop off at your dealer as soon as possible once the CEL comes back.

It is still under the AEM warranty. Didn't think this would be covered but will try! Thanks for the insight
