facelift cluster help

what's up guys & girls

I need help with programming my cluster... Im not new in coding and programming but I am new in Mercedes area of coding and programming.
I know alot with BMW coding stuff.
I'm getting into Mercedes because I just bought an 2010 GLK 350 awhile ago, I swapped out the cluster from an 2014 GLK 350 pretty much 90% works right of the bat but my miles don't show up and need a little fine tuning to get it at 100%

my question is
what type eeprom programmers you are using to read and write?
I have 2 I use to unlock laptops bios CH341 and an RT809F will any of these work?

since its the same model just different year could I just read the eeprom from my old cluster and write it to the new one to a 100%?

where can I find how to virginize the cluster? I know how to do it on a BMW but not a Mercedes

thanks in advance

I used mbtools with an openport 2.0 to virginize my cluster. For teach in and variant coding I used Vediamo. You'll back up your old coding and copy it to the new cluster (there will be slight differences).

I have xentry & vediamo already installed I literally just ordered the openport 2.0

I’ll have to Look into the MBtools. With MBtools all can be done with openport 2.0 and not requiring to remove the eeprom chip?

Correct, it does it all over OBD. It was like $50 but it was a 1 click operation so it was worth it to me.
