2014 GLK 350 4MATIC AWD
2014 glk350 stereo system dead

I have 2014 glk350 4matic and the stereo is completely dead to include usb port in center console it's model number is 204 900 56 14. I cannot find one for sale. My question is can I put a 204 900 45 14 model in its place so at least the stereo works again? Thanks

I thought I'd throw out a comment or two (or) questions ...

We have a 2014 GLK Base model, so I have no experience with the 4-Matic.

First off, check out the photo at the bottom. We don't have a "dedicated" (individual) radio.
It's integrated as a component of the upper-center console feature-set.

We move a dial (lower console) up-down-left-right to select whichever sub-component we're interested in.

Does your 4-Matic have that ... or a separate, dedicated, lonesome radio component?

If yes, have you checked the dedicated fuse(s) for it? (in dash, engine-compartment, spare tire area?)

If you have the same upper-center console feature-set ... do all the other sub-components work / display?
Or are they all "dead" as with the radio sub-component?

Have you check fuses, overall? Has any work been done recently around the center console?

2013 glk 350
Right , check fuse first , I have a good local installer I’ve used to upgrade the whole stereo. I think any good installer will be able to check your fuse , and verify if the unit actually has power, or what is wrong. eBay has units cheap, if the connectors and wiring are the same it should work . It could be something simple a good installer will easily find and fix .

Unfortunately I checked all fuses and no luck. I took into an approved mercedes benz repair shop and they said the unit was dead. Yes mine has the knob by the cup holder. On the display it shows the function for radio and nav but that's it. That's why I was thinking of trying out a slightly different model the 204 900 45 14. Probably loss a function or two but maybe the radio will work.
