2015 GLK350 FWD Suspension Questions
I have been trying to diagnose what I suspect are some failing suspension components in my GLK350. The most noticeable symptoms are:
1. Light clunking while turning the steering wheel in reverse
2. Car skidding over pot holes - Steering wheel feels like it's yanking in the direction of the depressed wheel
3. Inner tie rod (towards hip join) make a weird clicking sound when pushing back and forth with tire raised. (see video 1)
4. FWD control arm seems to be loose. Not sure if this is a normal amount of play? Bushing seems to have hairline cracks and I can move it with my hand while twisting.
I plan to replace inner/outer tie rod ends(since the inner rod is super rusty) and sway bar end links eventually(they seem to be ok, boots intact). Also thinking of replacing the struts as well.
Thanks for the feedback!!
