GLK 220 2012 Turbocharger exchange.
Hello. My turbo on my dear GLK died, and is wondering if anyone have any experience changing it? Car workshop wants 2900euro(3350usd) total for the job, part included.
But I also have some friends who offered to do it for about 600euros. Part alone will be 840euro, as cheap as it gets, and alot to save.
The main issue is if anyone knows if this car is an ok car to work on, not overly tricky or little room to work? I dont want them to have a hellish job ahead of them. Havent been able to find a tutorial video on this model. Should mention they have lifting jack etc and a equipped garage, but I have no idea if special tools is a must for such a job, and how long a time ish it might take.
