Shifting to Park on it's own

My 2015 GLK 250 randomly shifts to park on it's own while coming to a stop. According to my research it is likely the Electronic Ignition Switch (EIS). If I am lucky it could be an internal problem with the module that needs to be resoldered. I have parked the car for now and will tackle it this weekend.

For me, purely by habit (Jeep +other vehicles), I was in the GLK and slowly creeping up to the mailbox (we live in the country, so mailbox is far from house) and I opened the driver's door as I was up on the mailbox ... holy smoke!! The GLK came to a dead stop! When I say creeping, I walk faster than the GLK was moving. I understand - safety feature.I did not know it has that feature
Anyway , one more thing to consider ... door open feedback to the computer.
Again, I now think my problem is a door lock issue. The next time it occurs I will pull over and scan it immediately. I already cleared all the codes and they have not reappeared yet.
