2015 MB GLK350 Evap code p00455 the aux battery malfunction
I recently got a CEL P00455 EVAP massive failure. Swapped gas cap didn’t help. Then after a week and 200 mile got “Aux battery malfunction” message that killed The CEL. So I am replacing Aux battery. Here is my question. Current battery is not OEM but has lasted over six year. Mm Mighty Max MODEL YTX14-BS12 VOLT 12 AMP HR.availale for $40 vs $150 OEM. Any reason I should not use this battery mind know you get what you pay for. TIA to reply’s.

Just use the cheaper one as long as it has the same specs. I bought my used GLK350 in 2022 and the previous owner put an autozone AGM battery. Hasn't skipped a beat yet.

It’s easy to overpay for an AGM auxiliary battery. Not to many companies make them so how much difference can there be ? I found an AGM on Amazon for 60$ about 4 years ago that’s been fine. Just get similar rating and terminals . I had to bend mine to get it to work.
